ANGELS AND DEMONS

Director: Ron Howard
Studio: Sony Pictures Entertainment

"Bearing in mind the Vatican banned the production from shooting in the principality, the set recreations and CG work here are astonishing." Mike Goodridge, Screen Daily

The team behind "The Da Vinci Code" have returned to bring us its sequel, Angels and Demons, based on Dan Brown's novel of the same name. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Robert Langdon, once again pitted against the murderous Illuminatti, an ancient and ruthless group determined to bring down the Catholic Church.

Directed by Ron Howard (The Da Vinci Code, A Beautiful Mind) Angels and Demons takes the viewer on an unfaltering, action-packed search through crypts, cathederals and even the Vatican itself, in Landon's race against time to stop impending disaster. Double Negative joined the chase early on, working with VFX Supervisor Angus Bickerton and VFX Producer, Barrie Helmsley. The Double Negative team was led by VFX Supervisor, Ryan Cook, VFX Producer, Fay McConkey, CG Supervisor, Graham Jack and 2D Supervisor, Victor Wade in the creation of outstanding visual effects, including a seamless Vatican environment and the mesmerising anti-matter explosion.

Angels and Demons opened in the US &the UK on May 14th, 2009.
